Dear <<&firstname>>,

Does the subject line above sound familiar? Reply to this email with the product it originally promoted and the year, to be entered in a drawing to win a deluxe ceramic MasterMine
mug. The winner's name and company will be published in the next end-user email. Good luck, and no fair Googling!

The winner of "Stays crunchy, even in milk," was Jeannette Reihing of Magna Global Trading in New York City. The correct answer was Cap'n Crunch cereal, 1963. Our most creative answer came from Susan Van Epps of the Loudoun County, VA, Department of Economic Development: "Thumb tacks? Gravel? A convention of hippies? I forgot the real answer, but thanks for giving me a smile today." Denise Staudinger of Meadowbrook Insurance Group in Overland Park, KS, wrote, "I love the saying on the back of the mug, too! ('If it's not in GoldMine, it didn't happen.') This is also the tag line we use with our field reps to enter everything they are doing on a contact record." And Kathleen Smith of M & T Mortgage Corporation in Lancaster, PA, opined, "I like the Crunchberry one better."

Tips and Tricks

Using MasterMine to Manage GoldMine Alarms

GoldMine is a great time-management system. Done judiciously, setting alarms on pending activities helps you execute crucial activities on time and without fail. But who doesn’t fall behind on their alarms once in a while – and when you do, simply throw up your hands and give up, clicking “Suspend Alarms” mechanically when logging into GoldMine?

MasterMine’s built-in Alarms report template, combined with MMUpdater, can help you get back on top of your alarm process. With the Alarms report, you can see an overview of your (or any user’s) schedule of alarmed activities. From that perspective, it’s easy to redistribute and re-prioritize these crucial activities so you can finish the most important ones on time and set the others to another time.

Here’s how to do it:

Drill through the Alarms report to the GoldMine record to re-date or turn off alarms. Also, you can easily change your alarm dates and times on a MasterMine drill-down page, and then push the changes to GoldMine using MMUpdater.

Now you can again use this valuable GoldMine component without constantly feeling nagged and pestered by an out-of-control schedule!
