Tips and Tricks with MasterMine

New formatting preferences

Many users are unaware of some great new tools available in MasterMine v6.

A few examples of new convenience features can be found under "Preferences" in the "Create" dialog. On the "Defaults" tab in MasterMine preferences, you can set the following to occur automatically for every new report you create:

- Hide page fields set to "All"

- Hide page fields with no valid items

- Turn off subtotals for all fields

- Substitute blank space for "(blank)" in field items

- Put your logo into the top left of every new report (for printing only)

You can also set up "report loading" behavior to reduce steps you used to do manually:

- Always save SQL password in new reports

- Always dock toolbar on report open (Office 2003 and earlier)

- Hide fields list on report open

- Document visible during "refresh on open"

- Close [MasterMine] dialog after report created

- Excel visible during creation of report
